Whether it’s your first time participating in Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month or you’re a seasoned advocate, our collective efforts are significant in raising awareness for the over 5.6 million Americans affected by limb loss and limb difference. April is the time to amplify our impact and make strides toward greater understanding and support for our community.
As part of our LLLDAM campaign, we’ve compiled a list of inspirational dares to engage our community throughout the month. These dares enable participants to spread awareness in various ways and ensure an avenue for expression for everyone. We challenge you to complete as many as you can! We have particularly enjoyed the testimonial videos that members of the limb loss and limb difference community have submitted. Take a moment to hear from some of our community members on our YouTube channel.
Whether you are interested in getting involved in advocacy or simply sharing your story with others, we want to engage you.

- #WeThrive Stories – Share with your friends, family and community the importance of raising awareness about limb loss and limb difference, and how you THRIVE with your limb loss and limb difference. Submit your story.
- Advocacy Awareness – You don’t have to be a lobbyist to make a difference. You can start advocating today right where you are. Join the Advocacy Community on AC Connect.
- Show Your Mettle Day – Let’s close out LLLDAM on the last Saturday of the month, April 27, empowering individuals to share a picture showing off their “mettle.”
We encourage you to utilize our Communications Toolkit which includes downloadable brand assets that can be printed or shared on social media.
