Do What You Have To Do
At age 17, I lost my leg above the knee to bone cancer. I am now 67, and I am not going to say it’s been easy. But it is who I am. You do what you have to do. I’ve met a lot of great people because of my amputation. People who I love and would not have met if it wasn’t for my amputation. I learned to drive with my left foot. I worked different jobs with great people. I travel by myself if I need to. My prosthetics company in Tampa, Florida, has been a godsend for me.
