Innovative Disability Rights Advocate Nicole Ver Kuilen Joins National Conference Speaker Lineup!
Nicole Ver Kuilen is a disability rights advocate, cancer survivor, and social impact leader dedicated to using her talents for meaningful, systemic change. She founded the nonprofit advocacy organization Forrest Stump after facing insurance denials for nearly two decades and completed a 1,500-mile ultra-triathlon on a prosthesis built only for walking.
Her innovative advocacy and awareness campaigns have sparked national change, laying the foundation for her current role helping to lead So Every BODY Can Move, a landmark state-based policy initiative creating access to prostheses and orthoses for physical activity as medically necessary healthcare. She enjoys outdoor adventures in the Pacific Northwest and not only ran the Boston Marathon in 2024 for the second time, as a professional para-athlete, but placed 2nd with a 10-minute PR!

We are excited to announce that Wednesday, August 7, 2024, will be So Every BODY Can Move Day at this years’ Amputee Coalition National Conference. This special day is dedicated to celebrating movement, empowerment, and community engagement for individuals living with limb loss and limb difference.
