COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS.

In May 2011 on a family holiday in Greece, I was pushing my baby in his pram when a car lost control and mounted the pavement and crashed into me dragging me up the road. I was crushed against a brick wall, losing consciousness and thought I was going to die. My life really did flash before my eyes.

The main headlight was embedded in my lower right leg and I lost too much blood due to a ruptured artery. I had my leg amputated below the knee. I had two amputations due to the first amputation being unsuccessful. I also had 15 operations to my left leg including ligament repair surgeries. In total, I spent two years in the hospital before I was fully rehabilitated.

I now have 5 children and I live life in the present moment because nothing should be taken for granted in this life.
