THE UNSTOPPABLE COMEBACK.

My story is simple but complex. I’m a competitive person who lost his edge from a freak accident. My faith and drive never wavered and my purpose just may have gotten stronger. Who doesn’t love a great comeback story? Scared to call it a comeback but just a pivot in my life, and ultimately it does not detour me from where I would like to go in life. In a motorcycle accident in July of 2022 I lost my leg, I am an above knee amputee. My life hasn’t been taken from me but it has certainly changed. I have embraced it well and wear this new challenge with pride. I was a very active person from bike riding to sky diving to wrestling with my kids and dog. Flag football also was a big part of my life and I would do anything to line up with my team one more time.

I want to run…run like the wind. I want to play with my kids and be the “Superman,” I thought I was before. Well at least in their eyes I’m determined to get it all back. I love my new me and am ready to take on this next chapter of my story. I want to become a spokesperson, advocate, ambassador, and mentor in this new family I am now a part of. I want to share my story to motivate others, share my wisdom, and support the community in its entirety as best I can. For a few years, I’ve had a unique clothing line (Saksuhn) that I now hope to use to share my story as well. Excited to get my life back alongside my service dog, Sechs. He has been a great asset to me and my journey both mentally and physically. I wish to be a part of the Amputee Coalition, along with all its supporters and resources within. This is just the beginning of my story and I cannot wait to see where it takes me and the grind they will tell for years to come.
