In September 2019, I was walking my dog when a piece of heavy machinery struck me and ran me over. I sustained life-threatening injuries and had 20+ surgeries. Consequently, they had to amputate my left leg, hemipelvectomy, and a permanent colostomy to save my life. I am a trauma survivor! It has not been an easy road, but every day I am stronger and getting back to the things I love. Besides everything, I am grateful to God for giving my a second chance to live.
