2024 National Athlete Advocate Ambassador Campaign Introduces Julian Molina

Mar 7, 2024 |

The Amputee Coalition announces Julian Molina professional Colombian BMX rider to the inaugural 2024 National Athlete Advocate Ambassador Campaign. The 2024 campaign seeks to enhance the Amputee Coalition community voice through targeted messaging collaboratively shared in unison focused on the limb loss and/or limb difference community. The collaborative campaign is spearheaded by Gulf War Army Veteran, four-time track and field All-American, two-time Olympic trials qualifier, and long-time Amputee Coalition supporter, advocate, and current Board Member John Register.

The campaign is in partnership with the Amputee Coalition and the National Athlete Advocate Ambassadors social media platforms throughout 2024 centered on specific messages ranging from disability rights, inclusion, and equity for the collective community.

Julian Molina hailing from Andes, Colombia, has been inspiring the world through BMX for years. At age 7, while riding a skateboard, Julian was hit by a bus sustaining a severe break to his leg. The injury worsened and as a matter of life or death, Julian’s leg had to be amputated. Years later, Julian discovered BMX, which turned his life around in the way of 360’s, flips and whips. His motto, “If you dream something, you do it,” has made him unstoppable in his pursuits. The first adaptive BMX rider to compete in the X-Games Real BMX, Julian was voted the 2020 Fan Favorite winner.

“We are grateful these athletes have partnered with the Amputee Coalition to continue uplifting the voice of the limb loss and/or limb difference community. Throughout the year we look forward to sharing their accomplishments and dedication to using their platforms to inform and encourage the larger community.” Cass Isidro, President and Chief Executive Officer
