(January 4, 2024, Washington, D.C.) The Amputee Coalition announces the 2024 board of directors roster.
William Passig Perno, MBA, FACHE, William “Bill” Perno is entering his 7th year of service with the Coalition, has an expertise in healthcare strategy, healthcare payment innovation, and operational management, and will serve as the incoming Board Chair for 2024. Other members of the Executive Committee are Treasurer R. Carter Wood III, CPA, chief financial officer for Copper River Shared Services; and Secretary David S. Sanders, partner at Foley & Lardner LLP.
Continuing members include immediate past Chair John Register, a two-time Paralympian and Paralympic Games silver medalist and chief executive officer of Inspired Communications International; Carrie Davis, vice president of patient and employee experience for Hanger Clinic.

We have achieved remarkable milestones together, leaving a lasting impact on the communities we serve. “Our board of directors represents and elevates a high standard of excellence in leadership and advocacy for the limb loss and/or limb difference community,” said William “Bill” Perno, incoming Board Chair for the Amputee Coalition. “I’m excited for a new year to continue the progress and direction the leadership team will continue to dedicate to advance our work to support the 5 million plus Americans living with limb loss and/or limb difference.”
The board of directors also welcomes four new board members who include, Dr. Foluso Fakorede, Chief Executive Officer, Cardiovascular Solutions of Central Mississippi and Fusion Vascular; Ron Barabas, Director, Legal Counsel – Sports for Warner Bros. Discovery (“WBD”), Dr. Danielle Melton, Director of Amputation Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and Michael Fillauer, CPO, President & Chief Executive Officer, Fillauer Companies, Inc., a fourth generation family member involved in orthotics and prosthetics.
