Summer Breeze Will Perform Live at Amputee Coalition’s 2022 National Conference

Jul 8, 2022 |

Amputee Coalition is happy to announce that Summer Breeze, featuring amputee musicians, will perform live for the 2022 National Conference Dance Party on Friday night, August 12!

Billy Brimblecom Jr, an above-the-knee amputee, formed the band, Summer Breeze, in Kansas City in 2009. Summer Breeze plays smooth, soft rock from the mid 70’s- mid 80’s, affectionately known as “Yacht Rock”. The band consistently plays to packed audiences performing songs by Steely Dan, Michael McDonald & The Doobie Brothers, Kenny Loggins, Christopher Cross, Linda Ronstadt, Elton John, and countless others!

Summer Breeze has been the house band for Steps of Faith Foundation’s Thundergong fundraising concert since it began in 2017. Hosted by actor Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso, SNL), Thundergong raises money for Steps of Faith, which helps uninsured amputees receive the prosthetic care they need. At Thundergong, Summer Breeze has backed artists such as Jason Sudeikis, Wynonna Judd, Ben Harper, Fred Armisen, Will Forte, Sam Richardson, and many more.
