Limb Loss Resource Center 2020 Plans

Dec 19, 2019 |

2019 was an outstanding year for the National Limb Loss Resource Center.  We served more than 8,000 members of the community, and we can’t wait to serve even more of you in 2020.

We recently updated our existing fact sheets on the website, and created many new ones to help address questions and concerns we hear about from our community.  As an example, two new fact sheets include:

Here is what’s in the pipeline for how we can strengthen our efforts to serve people with limb loss and limb difference, as well as their family, friends, and caregivers:

  • Expanded toll-free helpline hours coming later in 2020.  We want to be able offer our services to accommodate later times in the more western U.S. time zones.  More to come on this in 2020!
  • We’re getting ready to launch a new online database early in the year that will allow you to search for local resources based on your zip code, as well as find new state and national resources.
  • We want to provide more opportunities to engage with young people with limb loss and limb difference.  We recently published our Adaptive Gaming fact sheet (for the young AND the young at heart).

We are looking forward to the year ahead, as we plan to bring new and interactive resources to help individuals navigate their limb loss and limb difference journey.
