In honor of National Family Caregivers Month, join the ACL-funded National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center (NADRC) for their upcoming webinar: “Applying the National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers to Dementia Programs.” This webinar will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, November 1 from 3:00-4:00pm ET.
The 2022 National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers was developed to support caregivers of all ages, regardless of where they live or their specific caregiving situation. The Strategy includes five overarching goals, nearly 350 actions the federal government will take to support family caregivers in the coming year, and more than 150 actions that can be adopted at other levels of government and across the private sector to build a system to support family caregivers. While the goals and actions contained within the Strategy are not dementia specific, they can be applied to dementia caregiving. This webinar will focus on the ways in which the goals can apply specifically to caregivers of people living with dementia and services designed to support such caregivers.
NADRC webinars are free of charge and open to the public, although pre-registration is required. The webinars are recorded and will be available for future viewing on the NADRC website. Closed captioning is available during the webinar and will be included in the recording. Contact NADRC-Webinars@rti.org with any questions.
