If so, the Amputee Coalition Lead Advocate Certification Training may be perfect for you.
Certified Lead Advocates are committed volunteers who have undergone specialized training to develop and refine their advocacy skills and deepen their understanding of the challenges facing the limb loss and limb difference community.
We are pleased to announce that the Amputee Coalition will be hosting a comprehensive four-week virtual Certified Lead Advocate training course that will begin on Monday, March 4, 2024. New course content will become available each Monday throughout the month.
Who’s invited:
Anyone who wants to change the world! If you are ready to volunteer regularly with the Amputee Coalition and are committed to actively making changes in your state and the country, secure your seat today.
What to expect:
Each week, participants will have course material to read, watch, and engage with a total time investment expected per week to be 2-5 hours. There will be weekly AC Connect discussion posts and live Zoom training sessions to dive deeper into the course materials with discussions and practice sessions. Participants must be able to dedicate one evening a week to the live Zoom training sessions.
There is no cost to participate. Limited seats are available! First come, first serve. Preference will be given to states where there are no current Certified Lead Advocates.
