Mar 17, 2022 |

April is Limb Loss and LImb Difference Awareness Month

By Amanda Woodson, Government Relations Specialist

The Amputee Coalition recognizes April as Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month to honor the 2.1 million Americans living with limb loss or limb difference and the 28 million at risk and educate others about what it’s like to live with limb loss and limb difference.

Every year, the Amputee Coalition has a goal of having state proclamations declaring April as Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month in all 50 states. We need your help to achieve this goal. To submit a state proclamation, please visit the following link: amputee-coalition.org/advocacy.

Once you click the link, it will take you to our advocacy landing page which has all the tools you need to submit a state proclamation. The following tools are located on the page:

  • Gubernatorial Proclamation Request: draft proclamation language that you can copy and paste.
