Introducing the Brand-New Lead Advocate Online Training

Apr 18, 2022 |

By Amanda Woodson – Government Relations Specialist

The Amputee Coalition Government Relations Team is thrilled to announce the launch of our online Lead Advocate Training!

Are you looking to increase your participation in advocacy for our community? Do you want to learn more advocacy skills? Are you interested in learning more about the policy issues that affect the limb loss and limb difference community? Do you enjoy collaborating with others? Are you passionate about the limb loss and limb difference community? If you answer β€œyes”, to at least one of these questions, then the Lead Advocate Program is for you!

Lead Advocates are advocacy volunteers that have received specific training about issues facing the limb loss and limb difference community, our policy priorities, and skills to become effective advocates! Our online Lead Advocate training includes our volunteer advocacy toolkit and eight short videos to train you for this position. The full online training can be completed in 90 minutes or less, and you are able to complete the training at your own pace. Once you complete the training, you will receive a certificate noting you are a Lead Advocate and will receive an invitation to join our monthly virtual calls with other Lead Advocates and the Amputee Coalition Government Relations Team!
