Jeff Keene II

HEY, FELLOW AMPS!

I lost my foot in the line-of-duty fighting a fire in NY in 1989. Here is my story: “When the Other Boot Drops.”

I pray it inspires those who need to triumph over their own traumatic tragedy or that of a loved one.

About the book:
Firefighters remember their initial training—how in every class or drill the instructors emphasized the dangers. Somehow, the risks seemed worth it then. After all, firefighters help people caught in bad situations. Jeff Keene II heard those warnings and still answered the call, but early in his career he suffered a terrible injury. In When the Other Boot Drops, he gives us an honest account of the emotional and mental trauma that followed. This is a solid, comfort-filled reference for victims of trauma (and their family members and friends, as well).
