Regaining My Life

I am an Army veteran, retired registered nurse, and an above-knee amputee. On July 26, 2022, I elected to have my leg amputated above the knee after three failed knee replacements. It was one of the best decisions I could have ever made. You see, I was an athletic person pretty much all my life. My single most important goal was to get back to doing those things I loved to do. Swimming, dancing, doing 5Ks, playing tennis, and tap dancing are some of the many things I enjoy doing. I have done all of them except tap dancing. I am waiting on some special tap shoes that I ordered to arrive, and it will be on like popcorn.
