“Driving Mrs M,” a Film About Returning to Independence

My name is Masha Kurbatova, and I am a production assistant for the documentary film “Driving Mrs M.” Ours is the story of a third grade teacher, Mrs M, whose simple cold turns deadly. It leads to sepsis, resulting in quadruple amputation to save her life. Mrs M, with four prostheses, wants her independence back, to relearn driving, and to return to the classroom. Her third graders spearhead a campaign that goes around the world. Mrs M pushes forward, not knowing if she’ll succeed. But, with the support of her small but mighty coalition, she’s confident that she will thrive. A stunning and unexpected door opens. Mrs M ushers in the future.
