Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month Comes to an End

Apr 29, 2020 |

Thank you for being strong with us this April during Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month (LLAM)As we needed to quickly pivot our LLAM in-person gatherings and advocacy engagements to virtual platforms, we appreciate the support, patience, and flexibility from our community members that we care so deeply for.

We know this April looked and felt a bit different for raising limb loss and limb difference awareness as a result of the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope that April virtual events, like Advocacy Forum’s Hill Day from Home and Be Strong Daily Dares, provided a sense of connectivity as well as an opportunity to engage in raising awareness and having your voices and concerns heard.  If you participated in any of the Be Strong Daily Dares, please submit your completed dares to receive your limited-edition Amputee Coalition pin in the mail. If you have any questions/ideas for LLAM in April 2021, please email LLAM@amputee-coalition.org. We would love to hear from you and collaborate!
