Improvise, Adapt, Overcome
As a US Marine Veteran amputee, the words, “Improvise, Adapt, Overcome,” is the backbone we Marines follow. I have participated in two marathons since the amputation of my right leg on January 10, 2019. The 45th Marine Corps Marathon on November 08, 2020, and the 50th Shamrock Half Marathon on March 20, 2022. I believe that regardless of who we are or what we do, our ability to put these three words into practice is the framework to Persevere until the mission is accomplished.
