(February 17, 2023, Washington, D.C.) The Amputee Coalition (AC) recently announced its 2023 board of directors. John Register, a two-time Paralympian and Paralympic Games silver medalist and chief executive officer of Inspired Communications International, was named executive chair of the board of directors. Other members of the Executive Committee are Vice Chair-elect William Perno, MBA, FACHE, vice president for ambulatory care at Centra Health; Treasurer R. Carter Wood III, CPA, chief financial officer for Buchanan & Edwards; Secretary David S. Sanders, partner at Foley & Lardner LLP; and immediate past Chair Lorraine Riche, president of Bloom Health Centers.
The AC board of directors full roster also includes Seth McLaughlin, founder and president of Springfield Advisors; Justin Moore, PT, DPT, chief executive officer of the American Physical Therapy Association; Carrie Davis, vice president of patient experience for Hanger Clinic; Chad Jerdee, JD, retired global lead of responsible business, corporate sustainability, and citizenship at Accenture; and Matthew Swiggum, MBA, president and chief executive officer of Proteor USA.
“Our board of directors are tireless advocates for the limb loss and limb difference community and recently redefined the organization’s vision and mission to ensure greater impact for those we serve,” said Cass Isidro, president and chief executive officer of the Amputee Coalition. “I’m excited about uplifting this new direction in collaboration with these dedicated leaders to advance our work to support the 2.7 million Americans living with limb loss or limb difference.”
The board of directors approved a new vision for the organization: a world where the limb loss and limb difference community thrives. They reimagined the organization’s mission to support, educate, and advocate for people impacted by limb loss and limb difference. They also redefined the organization’s values.
