He’s brought home gold and silver medals for the U.S. in Paralympic snowboarding – a sport he didn’t even start until AFTER becoming an above-knee amputee! If anyone knows how to overcome a setback and reach their full potential, it’s Paralympian “Monster” Mike Schultz. You won’t want to miss the opening day of the 2023 National Conference, where Mike will bring the same passion and high energy he brings to competition to the opening keynote.
Whether or not you consider yourself a sports fan, much can be learned and applied from Mike’s experience to improve your own daily life. In 2008, Mike suffered a knee injury during a professional snowmobile competition which led to the amputation of his left leg above the knee. However, he wasn’t ready for his career to end, so he engineered a high-performance prosthetic knee to compete in adaptive sports. In 2010, he founded BioDapt, Inc. to address the need for advancements in high-impact adaptive sports prosthetics. This company’s innovative technology has since gone on to help athletes worldwide win Paralympic medals.
Arrive early and make sure to attend the opening keynote Wednesday, August 2, from 3:00 to 4:30pm. This inspirational speaker is sure to spark within you the confidence and tenacity to face your challenges head-on.
