Elevate Your Potential During Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month
We want to empower you to Elevate Your Potential starting today! As we close out Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month with this final theme, we hope this is just the beginning as you maximize your full potential with our programs, resources, and assistance. This is why the Amputee Coalition is proud to offer the Workforce Development Program as a resource to all adults and veterans, and the Youth Engagement Program (YEP) Workforce Development Program, to youth 15-17 living with limb loss or limb difference, as they explore their professional goals.
The workplace can be difficult to navigate with an amputation, but the Workforce Development Program is designed to set our community up for success and long-term employment.
Whether you’re a seasoned professional transitioning back into the workforce or a teenager applying for your first job, our Workforce Development Programs can assist with the specific challenges you face and provide a source of support.
There are a variety of free services that you can take advantage of, including one-on-one career development meetings, assistance with resume and cover letter writing, mock interviewing, fact sheets, webinars, and events year-round on job-related topics. We are also excited to unveil our all-new job board and YEP career dashboard, bringing qualified applicants and organizations together.
Public health workers are also encouraged to utilize the Workforce Development Program so they can better assist members of the limb loss and limb difference community.
