As the Covid-19 pandemic moves into new phases, the Amputee Coalition is committed to communicating the facts about the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines. The limb loss and limb difference community faces greater health risks from COVID-19. We want to ensure that our community is well informed and aware of the importance of COVID-19 vaccination for public health. Our goal is to address and dispel common vaccine myths by sharing the facts with the limb loss and limb difference community.
As a member of the COVID-19 Education and Equity Project (www.covidvaccineproject.org), a national coalition of over 200 of the nations’ leading non-profit patient advocacy organizations and for-profit industry trade associations, we are working to promote the impact of widespread COVID-19 vaccination acceptance in protecting individuals in our community.
Given the recent booster guidance and vaccination rates, the national coalition is continuing to provide resources and materials to help build trust and confidence in COVID-19 vaccines, including boosters.
